Let’s admit it. Planning a trip to Tokyo DisneySea can be super stressful because you need to have a strategy to get all the must-visit rides in – in a SINGLE DAY.
Sure, if you have a multi-day pass or stay at a Tokyo Disney Resort hotel, you may have a bit more time. But with just 12 hours to play with and crazy queues, you’ll have to prioritize.
To help you out, I’ve ranked every ride at Tokyo DisneySea, including a closer look at five of my favorites.

My Top 5 Tokyo DisneySea Rides Ranked
These are my absolute favorite Tokyo DisneySea rides. They make a visit to this fantastic Japanese theme park worth the money.
Yes, I admit they’re almost all big rides, but the queues will always be shorter on the rides for very young children, so you want to get to these first!
1. Journey to the Center of the Earth
Mysterious Island’s Journey to the Center of the Earth is one of the most popular rides at Tokyo DisneySea.
The ride combines a roller coaster and a dark ride, and it’s suitable for all ages. Here’s a quick look at what to expect:
Tokyo DisneySea does not have a Space Mountain, but Journey to the Center of the Earth is even better!
It takes you on a thrilling journey through the depths of the earth, complete with explosions, earthquakes, and a giant monster.
The special effects are incredible, and the ride is worth the wait. Head there first!
2. Tower of Terror
To be honest, drop rides make me want to hurl.
However, if you’re a fan of drops, then the Tower of Terror will absolutely thrill you. It’s a freefall ride that takes you to the top of a haunted hotel before dropping you back down.
Tokyo DisneySea has made this Tower of Terror very different from similar rides at other Disney resorts, with top-notch special effects and theming.
The ride is very intense, and you’ll need to recover for a few minutes after.
3. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull
This is another ride to get to early in your day at Tokyo DisneySea.
Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull takes you on a journey through a temple filled with traps and obstacles, all while avoiding the wrath of the crystal skull. The ride combines a dark ride and a thrill ride, and it’s suitable for all ages.
4. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Give mom and dad a break and take younger siblings on this immersive adventure!
This exciting submarine family ride takes you on a journey through the ocean’s depths. The ride features animatronic sea creatures, and, as always, the theming is fantastic.
5. Aquatopia
Aquatopia is pure family fun. Everyone can enjoy this water ride that takes you on a journey through several waterways.
Board the small boat, which glides through the water, twisting and turning around obstacles. I like that this ride is not too intense so young children won’t be spooked.
My Honorable Mentions
Here are a few honorable mentions that didn’t quite make the top of the list but are part of what makes this park so special.
Toy Story Mania!
If you’re a fan of the Toy Story movies, you won’t want to miss Toy Story Mania! This 4D adventure takes you into the world of Toy Story.
Wear the special glasses and shoot at targets with a virtual cannon, to rack up points and beat your friends.
Venetian Gondolas
Moms can live large by cruising in an authentic Venetian Gondola in the Mediterranean Harbor. Charming gondoliers navigate you through replica Venitian canals.
Take the weight off your feet and truly relax after a frantic day. So bello!
Rounding up
Tokyo DisneySea has so much to offer in terms of rides and attractions.
I love that adults, children, and even the moodiest teens will be impressed by all of the rides. Make sure you take a look at my Tokyo DisneySea tips and plan a day to remember!
